The Beginning

Today I left Fredericton for the first part of my journey North. I left my house at about 9:30am and got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. I was joined there by Mom, Dad, and Katie and Patrick. Cheryl and Elliot were the ones that drove me there, with the dogs.

On the plane I sat next to this young guy. He was nice enough. We chatted a bit but then both just read out books. The flight was Ok. A little bit of turbulence but nothing too bad. I got to Toronto and went straight to my gate. I did stop and get a sandwich at Tim Hortons but then went straight to the gate and sat and waited
the 2.5 hours till my next flight. To be honest, I was to hot and tired to bother walking around, so I waited.

On the next flight to Edmonton I sat with an older man, probably in his 50's. He was also nice and I offered him some of my snacks. He in turn gave me his free flight snack (I didn't get one with my ticket) It was cheese and crackers. We chatted a bit but then both just watched movies. The douchbag in front of me completely reclined his chair to the point where I couldn't move so I had to ask him to move up. He did, but not much. What a jerk. So then I get to Edmonton, AB and I have to collect my baggage. Of course there are no porters to help but I eventually convinced two workers to help me with my 6 bags. I checked them into an overnight storage at the airport and went to my hotel. I finally get to the hotel and of course the restaurant is closed so I had to order food which is going to take 90 min to get here. So now I am cranky, sad, hungry, tired and have a massive headache. Suffice to say, so far not the greatest trip so far...... here's to hoping it gets better....
