So tonight I moved into my new apartment. I am living with T's boyfriends cousin named S.... (did you get that?) and her best friend, M, and R. M also just had a baby so there's a little bambino here as well. And just to make it more homey, there are 2 dogs. One that is part shitsu or something, and the other is a beagle. Whew, we sure are a house-full. Also, M's parents are here as well since she just had her baby this past week.
Right now Tug, the beagle is curled up at the foot of my bed sleeping with his head over my leg, and how can I not love that.
Yesterday T, J and I went to get some groceries. I just bought a few things, snacks for lunch mostly because I was not sure when I would be moving into the house. But now I am here, and I am hoping to get settled quickly. It will probably not be for a while since my stuff from Fredericton hasn't even left there yet!!! INSANE!!! They came on Dec. 30th to pick it all up and it is still just sitting on the truck in Fredericton. It will be forever before it gets here. Luckily the people I live with had a spare bed and dresser so that is what I am using for now.
I got to unpack 2 suitcases of clothing, but than I ran out of hangers and the spare dresser is full so I had to stop. That leaves only one suitcase left to unpack, and I guess I can live with that for the next while. At least I have most of it unpacked. I also hung up my tapestry which made it feel a bit more homey. It'll be nice when I get my hanging lanterns and get the room all cozy.
Well, it's just after 9 pm and I am tuckered. Last night I was up until after 11:00 and it was hard to get up this morning at 6:30am. Man teaching tires you out easily. I am hoping to go out and do something this week to socialize, not sure what there is, but hopefully I'll find something!
