So I finally made my way to the post office to get a P.O. Box!! YEAH!!! Now people can send me mail! How great is that! I have decided to start a care package wish list in case anyone out there wants to send me something now and again. I'll add it to my blog, along with my address in my profile info and if by chance I receive some of it in the mail..... well.... I'll love you FOREVER!
Yesterday we had a drop in shower for M and her new baby. It was nice as a lot of the teachers came so it was good to see them and chat outside of school. There was a good showing of people and it was pretty relaxing. After the shower I went... da dum... da dum... da dum..... GROCERY SHOPPING (just imagine the Jaws theme there...) The totaly bill came to about 150$. Now some things were kinda the same and some were down right scary... Here are a few of the doozies!
1. 1 box of Post Cereal - (Sugar Puffs to be exact) - $8.65
2. 1 box of Kraft Dinner - $2.15
3. 1 loaf of white bread - $6.09
4. 1 liter of Milk - $6.94 (please note, this is 1 liter... not 2)
5. 300g of cheese - $8.39
6. 3 bananas - $3.81
7. 1 cup of sugar snap peas - $5.99
8. 6 chicken breasts - $28.99
Whew.... not pretty eh!?!?
I can't wait until some of my packed goods come from home, it'll be nice to save some money as I shipped rice/flour/sugar/ and other non perishable food items.
Today's classes went really well. There were no problems and it was a fun day all in all. I think the kids know things are winding down because exams start on Friday so they are focusing on getting their work done. In my senior art class I pulled each student out one at a time to tell them where they were standing with regards to unfinished projects and what they needed to finish in the next 4 days. Hopefully that will help them get in gear and get some things handed in!
I think on Wednesday of this week T and I are going to go to an open house on some results of geological and environmental testing that was done up here over the last year.!@#$%
